The 60s-70s mark an important step in the relationship between school and media. In this article, we intend to demonstrate how taking into account the new mediatic environement and the questions it raised have created a fruitful relationship between two fields, education and communication. We try to show which theoretical sources, trends of thoughts or social movements enriched them, and how finally, through a stormy history, a new field of activities and researches was founded: the interrelation education-communication
