The subject of this article is Frontex, the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union and the Schengen area, and more specifically the new procedures applied to protect the European Union’s external borders. These procedures are managed through new technological media, which dematerialise external borders and bring in new mechanisms of exclusion.
