This article seeks to understand the place of speech and erudition in communication and societies. The author uses an anthroposociological approach to revisit the classical cultural categories of the human sciences, showing how developments in technology and new media will contribute to the emergence of new actors in media space. Such developments will also transform the place of “who speaks” in modern societies, as well as the direction in which the content of what is communicated is changing. The aim is to make the new modes of communication of publicists and identity groups more intelligible.
