It may seem that cognitive improvement belongs to the field of fiction, but it also raises some very real concerns. In any case, it questions believers on what must be their role faced with these issues: it brings up the critical question inherent to technological innovation on the meaning of man and on the methods that can guarantee genuine human development. They therefore need to be present where the management of innovation takes place, in order to steer it towards ever more human forms, by providing effective arguments in the public debate it provokes.
