Introduction: There is still significant stigmatization of people suffering from schizophrenia. Information about the disease presented by the media is partly responsible for perpetuating this stigma. We interviewed French psychiatric trainees and psychiatrists about their perception of schizophrenia in fictional movies, and about action that could be taken against stigmatization, based on the idea of a “movie-debate.”
