Part-time therapeutic care centers (centres d’accueil thérapeutique à temps partiel, CATTPs) are a part of the French outpatient psychiatric system. Initially developed as part of the sectorization policy, these non-hospital care structures are now beginning to become a feature in private psychiatric clinical practices. The CATTP has become an important tool in the care system at the Parc clinic. There is a real demand from patients and colleagues for these therapeutic activities that complement the customary psychotherapeutic and pharmacological offers. My own experience confirms the therapeutic effectiveness and financial viability of CATTPs in private practice.
