In January 2020, the WHO reported the outbreak of a new SARS-CoV2 virus, declaring it a public health crisis on an international scale. Following the announcement of widespread lockdown, the child psychiatry liaison team of the University Hospitals of Cannes and Grasse established a health monitoring mechanism (via telephone contact) for adolescents who had been admitted to the pediatric emergency department during the first quarter of 2020. This article discusses the principles upon which the mechanism is founded.
