The Centre d’accompagnement thérapeutique (Therapeutic Support Center) is a rehabilitation model for psychiatric patients. This model works with the person, putting the symptoms they present to one side in order to work on and visualize the person behind them. By having a space within an institution where the patient is allowed to “exist” as a person, true inclusion in society can be better achieved. Through daily non-directive activities, it is possible to observe the symptoms and the patient from another position in order to work on their return to their environment.
