Living with cyber attacks

Living with cyber attacks - 2021.
76
There are some threats that we dream of eradicating and others that it is more reasonable to learn to live with. This is the case with the Covid-19. This is also the case with cyber threats. Indeed, computer viruses are increasingly mimicking their biological “cousins”. Operational cybersecurity experts are fighting these attacks in repeated waves on a daily basis. Sometimes there is a lack of resources, containment is illusory and discouragement lurks. However, the next day, you have to pick up your stone and roll it away like a modern Sisyphus, who you can only imagine is happy. How can companies rely on the abnegation of such experts? Shouldn’t we all have a minimum obligation to listen to their recommendations and warnings, if only to help them avoid being overwhelmed? Shouldn’t we seriously rethink the way we digitise the world?
