At the beginning of the 1950’s, the Communist peace propaganda offensive mobilized the European anti-Communist associations network ‘Peace and Freedom ». The corruption of peace by the Communists, and the risks in subscribing to it, became a major element of its counter-propaganda. It then tried to oppose the Communists with European unity as the true driving force and warrant of peace and prosperity.
