Enduring immanence
Rambeau, Frédéric
Enduring immanence - 2014.
30
In Deleuzian philosophy of modern cinema, fully immanent belief is founded on the belief in bodies and in their intensive potentialities. But these unchained bodies, freed from logics of action and codes of representation, are immediately assimilated with primary images. They finally become closer to an original and phenomenological presence, or a Christian thinking of flesh, than to a Spinozist and atheistic ethics. Did the deleuzian logics of images, which was supposed to affirm absolute immanence, lack in endurance?
