The Paradoxes of the Kurdish Spring in Syria - 2014.
97
Although the Kurdish population in Syria forms a very small and highly divided minority, thanks to the civil war, the Kurds of northern Syria have managed to achieve relative autonomy. Complex regional restructuring and endless rivalries between Kurdish parties have not prevented a relative unification of the diverse Kurdish areas in Turkey, Syria, and Iraq. However, the Kurdish question remains marginalized in political processes that are attempting to bring an end to the Syrian conflict.
