This research report focuses on the means that a manager has available in order to enable a healthcare team to adapt and adjust to the mandatory reorganization of their hospital environment during a health crisis of global proportions. In an emergency department, on the front line of unscheduled admissions, particularly of contagious patients, caregivers are obliged to put their fears aside in order to carry out their healthcare duties. Faced with unusual and anxiety-provoking situations, resistance to change does not have time to develop. The organization’s survival response is linked to its ability to put a resilient strategy in place, guided and driven by the meaning attributed to events.
