This article proposes to understand the constitution and composition of the main electoral conglomerates that crystallized during the first round of the 2022 presidential election, using the case of Nantes which is emblematic of the social and electoral dynamics of the top of the French urban hierarchy. Through this case, he argues for a quantitative electoral socio-geography and analyzes the results at the fine scale of the 475 polling stations of Nantes Metropole, by illuminating them with the help of public statistics indicators that allow us to approach the social properties of the inhabitants in a multidimensional way. The first part describes the structuring of the local electoral space, its correspondence with the social space and its translation into the geographical space. This electoral space appears to be structured around three main poles, which the following parts of the article then take the time to explore.
