Intersectionality: Naming a problem - 2020.

95

Forged by Kimberlé Crenshaw, at the end of the 1980s, in the wake of the Black feminist movement in the United States, the concept of intersectionality has since then been appropriated in multiple forms as it circulated internationally, and it has participated in the renewal of the sociological analysis of domination. Even if it has been strongly criticised, this notion cannot be overlooked as it leads to new ways of questioning the frontiers between political and sociological approaches.
