Care and Convivialism. A Commentary on the Convivialist Manifesto
Pulcini, Elena
Care and Convivialism. A Commentary on the Convivialist Manifesto - 2014.
99
This commentary stresses that the most important message of convivialism is care. Far from being an abstract imperative, care (of relationships, of the world) must be grounded in the conscience of belonging to a single humanity. This conscience is being awoken today through many passions (indignation, solidarity, empathy, sense of justice, generosity, compassion, belonging) expressed in the multiplicity of global social movements. As the Manifesto advocates, it is essential that this multiplicity moves beyond fragmentation to build a unified vision for the world from the basis of their shared values.
