Stakeholders engagement is a key issue for energy transition in the construction sector. We argue that technical development is insufficient to instigate a massive energy renovation movement for French buildings, and that it must be supported by engaged stakeholders. We discuss the conditions for stakeholders engagement, and we suggest the need for a sequential approach of multiple contracts. We illustrate this with the case of Savecom, a company co-created and supported by EDF.
