Subjects are called to undertake new projects. To follow an injunction is to apply an external norm, in other words, to be in a relation of heteronomy. However, to have a project implies imagining desirable ends and rules of production autonomously. The injunction to project is a contradiction in terms. In what way is this a system of “organizational control,” through which subjects involuntarily accept norms of projection that they do not support, or through which they even consent to project when they would actually like to reduce the pace of projection?
