The author's reflections focus on acts of tattooing which occur in the course of consultations and psychotherapies. These are observed in highly damaged, narcissistically abused, and psychically unorganized populations in the sense of Pierre Marty in his proposition of behavior neurosis. What place or function do these acts of tattooing occupy in the encounter between these subjects and real living objects aiming at mentalization?;
