Based on material from a patient’s session and Freudian and post-Freudian analytical works dealing with female sexuality, the author proposes a study of the Feminine, its place and its trajectory with respect to the evolution of the psychic apparatus. A component in the constitution and the organisation of passivity, regression and masochism, the Feminine is associated with the drives in its movement towards the interior, accompanies the vicissitudes of femininity, and constructs the feminine position, inherent in the capacity to accept the object and consequently characterizes analytic listening.
