The Resolution of the Oedipus Complex and Access to Intimacies. Intra-Superegoic Conflicts and Splits - 2013.

"The three propositions of the Oedipus complex, "murder, incest and castration," are best illustrated by the implacable unfolding of the Oedipus tragedy that portrays each of the two parents. The logic of the annihilating murder of the complex is opposed by the logic of the founding murder of its resolution in two stages. This intra-superegoic conflict between two murders applies to all psychic processes. The enigma moves towards the operation of murder and towards the outcomes of this conflict. This ambivalence between resolution and dissolution has repercussions on a subject's access to the various intimacies condensed in the term "love"; between undifferentiated mass intimacies and highly differentiated accomplished intimacies."
