Starting from a discussion of the case of Julien K, considered from the angle of a mobilization of the patient’s psychic envelopes in the analytic work, the author traces the broad outlines of a conception of the processes of change based on the transformation of the psy-chic configurations. This is made possible by the activation or reactivation of topographical transpositions between different psychic spaces, involving transitional phenomena specific to each transposition, the conjunction of which creates an intermediate transitional network.
