The notion of infinity has always inspired thinkers, scientists, philosophers and poets. It is recorded historically in different disciplines. How did it cross over into psychoanalysis? Freud, through his second topography, and Bion, especially, made room for it. Due to its usefulness in the encounter with the psychotic personality and its troubles, the infinite proves to be of unexpected value in the approach of contemporary forms of care settings.
