For more than a century, the primary socialization carried out by parents has been a political and social concern. From the’90s, the term of parenthood has become increasing important, that the evidence of concentration of fears and expectations towards the parental couple (Sellenet, 2014).Parenting has become an all-purpose explanation for every social ill which supposed to be the consequences of parenting failures.Daycare is the concrete representation of the first meeting for parents and children with an educational institution. What forms do parent-professional relationships take today?This article questions the parental determinism (Furedi, 2002) in the declared practices of educators in day care through exploratory research based on empirical investigation work. The results show that a minority of professionals hold parents responsible for their child’s behavior.
