This article presents some points of reference regarding the gradual construction by the sciences of the concept of representation, which allows us to depart from the idea that the Real exists intrinsically outside all human perception. It traces the history of the famous two-way image and links this history with learning theory: how the actor learns by processing a particular signal, namely emotion.
