Through the statistical analysis of 225 tombs of French abbots and bishops from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, this brief comparative investigation aims to demonstrate this by identifying divergent trends between the two clerical categories in terms of the location, type, materials, and iconography of the monuments.
