Cahen, Muriel
Atomism and Physicalism Facing the Test of Time: Armstrong’s Principle of Independence and the Topology of Time - 2011.

The authors distinguish classically temporal ontology and temporal topology. They show that the choice of a temporal, as the one of a general ontology has very large implications on the properties of temporal topology. They take the application of Armstrong’s Principle of Independence to temporal ontology as a point of departure of their discussion. They insist on the property of transitivity. They conclude that the admission of this principle of ontological independence introduces many difficulties in temporal ontology, as well as in temporal topology.
