This study looks at the youth who live in small, provincial towns, a topic at first trivial, but which raises a number of questions. This article aims at understanding some attitudes where the subject commits him- or herself in a dynamic movement between freedom and normality. The youth is a local social actor, involved in commitment and/or disengagement, whose typical expressions allow him to struggle against diverse pressures.
