Analogical Language, an Articulation between the Interactional and Intra-psychical
Platteau, Geneviève
Analogical Language, an Articulation between the Interactional and Intra-psychical - 2012.
3
The use of the language of analogies and third objects (media that support symbolization) opens an intermediate, privileged space where subjects may evoke things that are absent from their family history. This “representation” will construct a new history for subjects and their systems, created by the sense they give to the objects they use. This intrapsychic and systemic process ties together the internal and external reality of subjects.
