In this article, I will study the dynamics present in the adolescent-family-day hospital triad at the level of the three subsystems, as well as looking at how they interact. I explain the representations that we can have of these dynamics, as well as the mechanisms that are likely to prevent change from happening. Lastly, I will discuss future directions that work could take in order to help the adolescent gain their independence.
