Face aux changements environnementaux, sociaux, technologiques et à la crise sanitaire, l’internationalisation reste un pilier important de la stratégie de l’entreprise (Calma et Souder, 2020 ; De Marchi et al., 2020 ; Sarmento, 2020 ; Zahra, 2020). Pourtant l’internationalisation des entreprises est complexe et ne garantit pas forcément de bonnes performances (Mayrhofer et Urban, 2011). Le lien entre internationalisation et performance a souvent été étudié mais les résultats sont contradictoires ce qui peut être lié à des mesures tant de l’internationalisation que de la performance. Pour débloquer cette situation nous avons mené une analyse de données de panel sur la part des exportations vers les 10 premiers pays destinataires de FMN allemandes afin d’apporter un nouvel éclairage sur le lien internationalisation – performance.
