Unconscious intimacy and professional ethics
Lemosof, Alain
Unconscious intimacy and professional ethics - 2020.
79
Following a severe professional error, Mrs B, a psychiatric nurse, starts psychoanalysis and therein unwittingly discovers the unconscious but active part she plays in the issue she is complaining about. At the same time, the author shows how some institutional policies can create ethical suffering in professionals and contribute to the recurrence of such incidents. The analysis of this situation, examined using Lacanian notions, will allow us to delve into and differentiate between the notions of intimacy and the intimate.
