Based on an event that occurred in a Maison des Adolescents, interpreted as a scene of “haunting” in the establishment, this article explores certain aspects of the “ghost” in this medico-educational institution. Through this figure, we will explore the way in which our conceptions of absence and presence can be disturbed by adolescents, and by the posture of the researcher in participant observation.
