Children and Secrets - 2010.

40

This article examines how children first become aware of secrets: firstly, those they suppose belong to the parental Other, then, subsequently, those they construct for themselves. We go on to emphasize how the possibility of having secrets is necessary for the development of the subject. Finally, we will argue from this that the fundamental component of a secret is always something that cannot be spoken.
