The relationship between sport and psychoanalysis can be considered through the status of the body, sexuality and crowds in the City, which refer back to the political spheres. The political ontology of the Greeks that integrated the agonistic into an ideal of excellence and harmony at the service of the City can be pitted against the capitalist neoliberalism of sport based on body mechanics, the rationalization of gestures, and the digital dematerialization of bodily experience.
