Patients with severe burns spend several months in a confined environment, where the dressing procedure takes on a vital importance. Based on our regular therapy sessions with burn victims, in this article we will examine and discover the unique place of the burn dressing in the patient's psychic economy and shed light on patients' psychic responses to this procedure.
