The gender issue is becoming more and more present in the health sector. This is especially the case where gender dysphoria is concerned, since surgery has become a central project for these patients. Thus, through this article, we propose to explore the future of the psychological treatment of gender after sex reassignment surgery, for transgender patients hospitalized in a plastic surgery unit. We also propose to challenge the psychoanalytic support suitable for these patients, in this specific unit.
