The article will analyze the relationship between the fragmentary historiography and other historical sources, including epigraphy, numismatics and archeology. Several examples (the city of Phellos, the acquisition of the title of king by Pericles of Limyra, the history of the island of Megiste) makes clear that the study of fragments historic must be integrated with other data in order to understand better the history and geography of Lycia.
