Clinical work in the realm of the virtual ( clinique du virtuel) makes for what appears to be a new field, where what is human is thought out within the inextricable link it maintains with the technological tools it encounters in daily life, those virtual realities that run up against its psychological reality. At the crossroads of processes of perinatal parenthood and adolescence, the conceptual space of the virtual offers a heuristic theoretical and clinical frame-work. The milestones for a “virtual object relationship” are there set out in this encounter between the virtuality as process of becoming adult and becoming a parent, enriched by the brush with the technical-scientific virtual. Adolescent pregnancy is a violent collusion of the adolescent and generational virtual. The story of a psychotherapeutic intervention on maternity in this context provi-des the opportunity to study the dynamics both in full and in what lies within the hollows of a singular virtual object-relation.
