“The House and its implication in identity and individuation.” We live in the house, but the house also lives in us from the beginning of our life. It is the bearing, the support of our entire development. Its constant presence makes possible the succession of structuring experiences that forge our identity. It accompanies all the stages of our individuation and constitutes the pivot of all the critical phases. It is the envelope that gathers the family and contains our memories and the place of many symptoms manifesting themselves in certain difficulties of the constitution of the identity or its fragility, in certain obstacles to the individuation, it also interests the clinic. As a model for a later development, it presides over the repetition of a cycle from generation to generation. It accompanies all our life with many memories.
