In the current context of the transformation of legal and social regulation, the plurality of norms and the meaning which they convey confronts naturally the individual with the choice between several standards. In this study, we are interested in the phenomenon of normative pluralism as a vector of the social bond. From this perspective, the interpretation of norms and their meaning is closely tied to the individual’s conception of his action and of his own role in interpersonal and social relationships. The empirical research discussed here was used to model the complex relationship between the actor studied – the meaning of his action, his conception of his role in the social bond – and norms.
