We aimed in this paper to explore the context, and the aggressor and abused gender effects on the violence perceived legitimacy assessment. The research was conducted on a representative sample of the Tunisian population (N = 720). The procedure consisted in exposing the subjects to a scenarios set combining systematically the different independent variables modalities. Results showed an aggressor and abused gender effect as well as modulation effects of the context, the homo/heterogeneity of the violence partners gender and that of the assessor.
