The author seeks to take advantage of a reflection by Maurice Capul to consider the prerequisite conditions for playhouse games in which children spontaneously participate with relish. This article then explores the broad notional spectrum that playhouses cover today. Beyond being confined to the sociology of children, they are rather an object of reflection and investigation, a tool of struggle and creation. Finally, the author strives to understand the playhouse as a cosmogonic activity, drawing on Emanuele Coccia’s ideas on the life of plants.
