The paper means to trace the figure of the analyst through a listing of its features in three specific texts: a testimony, Les lieux d’une ruse (1977), the autobiography, W ou le souvenir d’enfance (1975), and a fiction, La vie mode d’emploi (1978). This figure (or should we say figures?) is firstly a kind of choreography, a set of gestures caught in an act, it is also a local figure, a topological figure, a locus unfolded and drawn by the analyst and finally the network woven by the features of an uncanny presence.
