This article analyzes the behavior of tones in the drawers of the indicative in Mbomba, a Bantu language C40, identified in the north of Congo Brazzaville, more precisely in the Department of Likouala. It aims to study, in a specific way, the behavior of the tones of both verbal stems and vowel endings when the interrogative morphemes are introduced into each of the drawers of the indicative. This paper therefore proposes to answer the following questions: what types of tonal schemes are found in the infinitive forms of the mbomba? – Can the tones carried by the negation morphemes lead to variations on the tones of the verbal stems and that of the vowel final?
