The purpose of this article is to present a brief overview of the syntax of this language and in particular to examine whether there is a real opposition between the class of verbs and that of nouns in Oroqen within the functionalist theoretical framework initiated by André Martinet. This research shows that the difficulty in the study of this domain lies mainly in knowing whether the element suffixed to the verb is lexical, grammatical or even derivational.
