Dans le prolongement de l’ouvrage qu’ils ont co-écrit en 2006, Les enjeux de la mondialisation culturelle, Joëlle Farchy et Jean Tardif se prêtent ici au jeu des « Échanges », intervenant chacun sur un aspect plus particulier des questions ayant trait à la mondialisation des échanges culturels. Joël Augros, Anne-Marie Autissier, Philippe Bouquillion et Tristan Mattelart leur répondent, proposant une analyse qui couvre différents aspects : économiques, culturels, politiques, scientifiques. Revenant sur l’articulation entre intérêts globaux, nationaux et locaux, entre lois du marché et diversité, plusieurs d’entre eux mettent également à jour les ambiguïtés dont peuvent faire preuve les mesures de régulation adoptées. Après une présentation des contributions de Joëlle Farchy et Jean Tardif, il s’agira de traiter du glissement de la revendication d’exception culturelle à celle de diversité, puis de présenter le positionnement théorique au fondement des problèmes concernant la mondialisation.
