The Israeli-American historian, Omer Bartov, shows that genocide is intimate to the German Nazi war policy on the front lines of the East. That is to say that the genocide is a barbaric corollary of war which characterises the Oriental front lines. This barbarity is composed of an ancient racism against the Slavs and an antisemitic passion just as ancient and exacerbated, and, finally, of an ideological will of conquest for a vital space, of germanisation and of killing communism.
