Quelques grandes lignes de l’anthropologie de Joseph Caillot. Filialité et finitude : une anthropologie mystique - 2017.

À l’occasion de récentes publications, l’a. présente des éléments de l’anthropologie théologique de Joseph Caillot, professeur à la faculté de théologie et de sciences religieuses de l’ICP de 1987 à 2002. En partant de la manière de faire de Caillot (ajustement de la parole, engagement semblable à la parrhèsia), et en n’oubliant pas le fondement évangélique de tout discours théologique, l’a. retient quelques axes de la pensée de Caillot : le « pas sans toi » emprunté à Michel de Certeau, l’écoute de l’autre et le dialogue constant avec la philosophie, la définition de l’humain en termes de filialité, comprise comme le rapport entre liberté et vérité, le rôle de l’histoire et donc la nécessité de marcher durablement, l’affirmation d’une « finitude incorruptible ». Au fond une anthropologie mystique, où rien ne peut être séparé ni confondu, et où finitude et filialité sont vocation et convocation pour chaque homme. On the occasion of recent publications, the author presents some aspects of the theological anthropology of Joseph Caillot, professor at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at the Catholic University of Paris from 1987 to 2002. Starting from Caillot’s approach (adjustment of speech, commitment as similar to parrhesia), and not forgetting the evangelical foundation of all theological discourse, the author highlights some of the main themes of Caillot’s thought : the “not without you” borrowed from Michel de Certeau ; listening to others and constant dialogue with philosophy ; the definition of humanhood in terms of filiality understood as the relation between liberty and truth ; the role of history and the consequent need to advance durably ; and the affirmation of an “incorruptible finitude”. Caillot’s anthropology is fundamentally mystical – nothing may be separated nor combined, and finitude and filiality are both a vocation and a call for each human person.
