Summary, etc. | En 2015, la France est marquée par des attentats terroristes de grande ampleur. À la suite de ces événements dramatiques, le Président de la République, François Hollande décide d’organiser dès le lendemain des minutes de silence dans les établissements scolaires. De nombreux incidents et contestations (cris, insultes, agressions, chahut, apologie du terrorisme) sont venus perturber les différents hommages. Cet article tente de répondre aux questions suivantes : quel sens les collégiens attribuent-ils aux minutes de silence organisées dans leur établissement scolaire à la suite des attentats de 2015 ?, pourquoi certains d’entre eux ont-ils refusé de s’y soumettre ? Pour y répondre, nous nous appuierons sur 45 entretiens semi-directifs menés auprès de collégiens des Hauts-de-France. Ce travail s’inscrit dans une recherche plus large relative « aux représentations de la laïcité chez les collégiens » réalisé dans le cadre du Groupe d’études et de recherche en travail social, ISL/UCL. |

Summary, etc. | In 2015, France was marked by large-scale terrorist attacks. Following these dramatic events, the President of the Republic, François Hollande, decided to organize from the next day one minute of silence in schools. Many Incidents and protests (shouting, insults, aggression, heckling, glorification of terrorism) disrupted the various tributes. This article answers the following questions : how do school children understand the minute of silence organized in their schools following the attacks of 2015 ? why did some of them refuse to comply ? To answer this question, we will rely on 45 semi-structured interviews conducted with pupils enrolled in French middle schools in the Hauts-de-France Region. This work is part of a broader research project on "Representations of secularism among secondary school students" carried out by the Social Work Study and Research Group, ISL/UCL. |
